ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital Visit

August 31st, 2011

On Jul 14, 2011, we were invited to participate the ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital Canada Goodwill Tour Vancouver Visit. We were given an exclusive on-board tour of the DC 10 Flying Eye Hospital and learn about ORBIS’s mission. It was definitely a fun and meaningful trip!

According to ORBIS Canada, here is a brief description of the Flying Eye Hospital:

“The ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital is the result of a unique and lasting alliance forged between the medical and aviation industries. This airborne eye hospital makes it possible for ORBIS to relocate an ophthalmic teaching facility to airports throughout the developing world. The ORBIS medical team provides hands-on training to local eye care professionals and conveys the latest medical knowledge to treat patients and restore sight. On the outside, the plane is like most other aircraft. Inside, however, it is like no other aircraft in the world.”

To learn more about ORBIS Canada’s mission and visions, please visit their official website.

Have a watch on this video and learn more about the core values of ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital. Please note that due to some eye surgery scenes in the video, viewer discretion is advised!

Fundraiser for ORBIS Canada

May 20th, 2011

We did it last year, and we do it again in 2011, with a better RECORD!!

On May 14, 2011, Doteasy participated in the ORBIS Pull for Sight 2011. We formed a team of 25 people to pull a 757 cargo airplane! We did it in less than 5 seconds!! BRAVO!!

ORBIS Canada, a non-profit organization dedicated to prevent and treat blindness, first introduced Pull for Sight to Vancouver in 2010.  We joined the event in both years. In 2011, there were total 21 teams in total and we raised over $30,000 for the blind and visually impaired children throughout the developing world!

Thanks for all of our staffs and family members who participated and contributed to this fundraiser (manpower-wise and/or money-wise). You guys made this event memorable!

Opting out of Doteasy’s Mailing System

March 22nd, 2011

We periodically send out promotional mailings and member newsletter to our web hosting members via email. The purpose of these emails is to inform our members of the latest promotions and sales, as well as service offer updates – it is our communication channel with our users.

Many of our members have multiple web hosting accounts and receiving multiple copies of the same newsletter (one for each account) could fill up an inbox quickly. That is why we’ve provided an opt-out link at the bottom of all our promotional mailings and newsletters. If you scroll down to the very bottom of the received newsletter, you’ll see the following:

If you prefer not to receive further promotional mailings or member newsletters from Doteasy, you may choose to unsubscribe via the following link and we will promptly update your preferences.

Or mail us a written request to: UNSUBSCRIBE, Doteasy Technology Inc., Suite 210 – 3602 Gilmore Way, Burnaby, BC, V5G 4W9, Ca

What happens when you click on the link?

You’ll be redirected to the Member Zone sign-in page. After the sign-in greeting page, you’ll see the “Opt-out Doteasy Member Newsletter” confirmation page.

All you have to do is click on the “Confirm Opt Out” button” and you will not be sent further promotional mailings or newsletters.

I confirmed opt-out, but I am still receiving promotional emails from Doteasy

Do you have more than one account with Doteasy? If yes, you will have to sign into each of your accounts to confirm opt-out.

If you require assistance, just let us know via our Contact Us form.

However, we do not recommend members opting out of all promotional newsletters. If you opted out of all newsletters on all your Doteasy accounts, you will not be notified of any new offers or sales. If you have multiple accounts with us, you may wish to opt out of all but one. That way, you’ll still receive one copy of the newsletters to take advantage of any sale offers you might be interested in.

Will I still be sent service maintenance notices and/or renewal notices?

Definitely! Because the service maintenance notices and service renewal reminders are not promotional newsletters, you will continue to receive them. Service maintenance notices include server migration and server upgrade notifications. Renewal reminders include hosting service and domain registration renewals.

Super Buddy Is Back

September 24th, 2007

As most of you may already know, the limited time Super Buddy program is back.

For those of you who don’t know what it is, you can visit our web site for more information. Basically, it’s the same as our regular 100 MB Buddy Program, but the reward is a 1 GB web storage upgrade instead of the regular 100 MB web storage upgrade.

This is of course a great thing to have since it can potentially boost your storage space for a $0 hosting package from 100 MB to 1100 MB.

How do I get the Super Buddy upgrade?

Getting the Super Buddy upgrade is easy. If a new sign-up lists your domain name as the Super Buddy referrer on the application form, then both you and your referral will receive the upgrade.

But remember, the upgrade may only be provisioned to each account once. So if you intend on referring multiple people, it’s best if you get your referrals to list different domain names that you own to optimize the benefits.

What if my referral forgot to list my domain for the Super Buddy Porgram?

If it is still within 7 days of sign-up, your referral can back-date their participation in the Super Buddy Program by visiting this URL.
