Worried about forgetting to renew your domain name? Well, a lot of people are.

Once a domain name expires, it will cease all functions. This means that your web site, your email accounts, and anything related to your domain name will stop working. This can mean disruption to your business if your business relies on your web site and e-mails.

After a domain name is expired for a certain amount of time, it will enter the Redemption Period. Hope is not lost yet as you can still renew the domain name while it’s in the Redemption Period, but the registry will charge a Redemption Renewal Fee in addition to the regular renewal fee.

Once the Redemption Period for the domain name is over, it will be scheduled for deletion and will eventually be released back to the public for re-registration. This means that anyone can register the domain name on a first come first served basis.

As you can probably see, having your domain name expire without realizing it can be annoying, and sometimes quite troublesome and perhaps even costly.

To help minimize the chance of this happening to you, we have implemented the Domain Auto Renewal feature. If enabled, this feature will help you renew your domain name 5 days before it expires. This way, you won’t need to worry about forgetting to renew your domain name.

You can enable this feature by doing the following.

1. Login to Member Zone.
2. Click the “Domain Auto Renew” link.
3. Finally, click the “TURN ON” button to enable the feature.
